Default Ritualists Left Out?

I noticed there is no skill changes for the Ritualist class.. were they accidently left out on the GW Update page or were no skills affected in the update? I cant confirm any skill changes because my client is still doing -image .

Be glad... be very, very glad. Snuggle your Ritualist close and pray they never found out where s/he was hiding.

Updated frequently leave out a profession, or change almost nothing in one. It can mean Anet is either content with where the profession currently is, or that it doesn't want to change too much at once.

In this case, the update right BEFORE this one was chock full of Ritualist change goodness. The largest amount of changes with Assassin in close 2nd.
The Assassin this time had the second smallest list of changes because of it, likely.

That's not to say that this will always be the case, but Anet tends to pace themselves with these updates, and most likely for good reasons. Better to ease the game into their balance, in the end.

Actually, if you look at the descriptions of the new skills, you'll notice a few things have been adjusted here and there. For example...

Caretaker's Charge (formally Siphon) now returns more energy (was 5, now 7) and recharges 2 seconds quicker.

Ghostmirror Light, (formally Synergetic Light) now recharges in 3 seconds instead of five.

Lot's of the Spawning enchantments have had their recharge times adjusted (most are around 20 seconds now, where they used to be 30 or more) to promote re-application, since strippage is going to be a major deal in Nightfall (I just wish Elementalists had similar attention).

Also, The fact that Spawning is actually useful for buffing your Ritualist generally is a wonderful thing. The potential utility is really quite exciting. Especially when before, Spawning was more or less uselss for Restoration and Channeling Rit's.

The only downer to all this are some of the name changes...

Feast of Creation (I know it's similar to my darling Feast of Corruption but it's still an awesome name!)----- now is Reclaim Essence (which sounds more like something you'd say in a boardroom stock-exchange meeting _-_).

Synergetic Light was also quite elegant. Didn't need to be changed to Ghostmirror Light.

I like Caretaker's Charge (was Siphon).

Offering of Spirit is surely better than Spirit Strike but it still sounds dull.
Something like Bloodied Soul, or Wager of Souls would be very cool to call out mid battle ^_^.

I still don't see how rits have been left out. While it's kind of funny being the lone rit in some areas, I'm wondering if people just gave up on their rits. I don't see any reason why to stop playing them.

Kais, ever checked PvP?

Yeah, any class is good in PvE cause PvE is so easy. You can beat the guy with no armor.

there are lots of people that don't even bother to play PvP and are pure PvE.
thus the whole rits suck them confuses them becaus in PvE rits are fine and they aren't noticbly worse than other classes.

418 fame and 254k balthazar faction, no, I never checked out pvp. Keep the wiseass comments to yourself, you twit. As for beating "the guy with no armor", where does such a guy exist? Pre-searing? Please. Try to act smooth, when you don't even know what you're talking about. PvP is played solely by a small minority of the community of Guild Wars; the vast majority of people focus mainly on PvE. Everyone knows that. And just because you rarely see rits in PvP doesn't mean the class is dead.

I am seeing more and more rits, especially in the later stages of the game, so it's nice to see more of them around. I've been working my way up to Lightbringer rank4 to help make myself more desirable to groups, but restoration still works.

Ritualists will allways be A good character.
Got no monk to use? Why not taking a Ritu, you cant refuse.

Restoration Ritualists are useful allies, even in pvp
